Founded in London in 1760, Creed still makes fragrances for royalty and A-listers such as Madonna.
Royal Scottish Lavender was commissioned by Queen Victoria after the Prince Consort’s death in 1861 to celebrate the Royal couple’s love of the Scottish Highlands. The heady blend of lemon, fern and lavender is still one of Creed’s most popular scents.
But its most famous fragrance is undoubtedly Fleurissimo which was created at the behest of Prince Rainier of Monaco to mark his wedding to Grace Kelly in 1956. It is a sophisticated mixture of rose and tuberose, subtly enhanced with violet leaves and Florentine iris emulating the flowers Kelly carried in her bouquet that day.
